ITINERARY
Day 1: Mumbai
Today proceed for a half city tour of Mumbai
See some of the prominent landmarks the city is famous for. Drive past the Asiatic Library (old Town Hall), past the stretch of Marine Drive also called the Queen's Necklace. Visit Hanging Gardens and the Kamala Nehru Park from where you can get an excellent view of the city. Drive past the Parsi Towers of Silence to the Dhobi Ghat, the open-air laundry to which is still popular with the citizens despite the advent of the modern washing machine! Visit Mani Bhavan today a museum but this was the residence of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi when he stayed in Mumbai from 1917 - 1934. Visit Jain Temple, city's most famous temple was built in 1904 and contains ornate sculptures and paintings. Thereafter drive through the business districts of South Mumbai passing by monuments built during the British era; The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (Victoria Terminus), Mumbai University, High Court.
