The Imperial city planned by Lutyens is set in parks and shaded avenues with wide boulevards that offer ever-changing perspectives of its victorian past. The majestic grandeur of Rajpath forms a fitting backdrop for the colorful, annual Republic Day Parade.

   
India Gate

It is surrounded by the buildings of government such as the Parliament House, Presidents House and the Secretariat Buildings at one end, and the imperial India Gate Memorial at the other end.

Sight-seeing of New Delhi will take you to visit Humayuns Tomb, aptly called predecessor of Taj Mahal, and also to Qutab Minar, an 11th century victory tower that rises to a height of 73 meters. Drive past the government buildings; Rashtrapati Bhawan or Presidents House, India Gate and the Parliament House.
