DAY 02 - KOVALAM After breakfast proceed for full day visit to Kanyakumari.   Kanyakumari is located at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent. The small temple dedicated to Kanyakumari, or the youthful form of the primeval energy Shakti (Mother Goddess) is located on the seashore, in the town known by the same name. Kanyakumari was referred to by the British as Cape Commorin. Kanyakumari represents the site where the spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda spent days in meditation upon a rock off of the coast. A memorial built in his honor is accessible via ferry. There is also a recently built memorial to Tiruvalluvar, the author of the philosophical work Tirukkural - a treatise on the Indian way of life.   Overnight at hotel. DAY 03 - KOVALAM / ALLEPPEY HOUSE BOAT BY SURFACE - 150 KMS - 04 HRS Morning proceed by surface to Allepey to board Houseboats. Alappuzha ( Alleppey ) is famous for its boat races, houseboats, coir products, fish and lakes.  Alappuzha remains prominent on the tourist trial of Kerela  as one of the major centers for backwater boat trips.  Lunch on board Cruise towards the Kumarakom in the serene backwaters of Kerela. Cruise the backwaters through out the day. Overnight at hotel. DAY 04 - HOUSE BOAT / KUMARAKOM After breakfast disembark at Kumarakom from the house boat. On arrival in Kumarakom check in at Resort.   Rest of the day free to enjoy the facilities at the hotel. You can swim, fish, go boating or opt for a rejuvenating Ayurvedic massage (at an extra cost).
